Frances Craft Smith, age 88, of Chinquapin died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Alisa Sofield of Wilmington and Anne Jones of Leland; son, Avery Smith of Chinquapin; sister, Mary Casteen of Raleigh; two brothers, Haywood Craft and Linell Craft, both of Chinquapin; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Jimmie Baysden, age 91, formerly of Richlands, died Friday, February 16, 2018 in Transitions Hospice Home in Raleigh.  Mr. Baysden is preceded in death by his wife Irene Whaley Baysden; and siblings Gladys Matthews, James Baysden, Jack Baysden, Adeleine Humphrey, Vick Cox, Dorothy Shaw, and Syble Kinsey.

Mr. Baysden is survived by his three daughters, Jimmie B. Kennemur of Clayton, Patricia B. Wood of Jonesville, Sheila Guthrie of Hendersonville; sister, Marie Eatmon of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Chuck Wood, Matt Wood, Jason Guthrie, Joshua Wood, Patrick Kennemur, Madison Kennemur, Skyler Kennemur; and six great grandchildren, Caroline Wood, Jackson Wood, Ethan Wood, Connor Wood, Lily Wood, and Gabriel Guthrie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979 or to the ECU College of Nursing, East Carolina University, Health Sciences Building, Greenville, NC  27858.

Thomas “Tommy” Edward Jarman, age 61, died Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jeanette and Walter Raleigh Jarman and his sister Janet Bryant.

Mr. Jarman is survived by his wife Robin D. Jarman of Beulaville; two sons, Kyle Jarman and wife Jacqui of Denver, Colorado, and Nicholas Albano of Beulaville; two daughters, Michelle Lamb and husband Doug and Sabrina Willaford and husband Travis both of Beulaville; two sisters, Judy Maready of Jacksonville and Yvonne Mayhew of Wallace; three brothers, Gene Jarman and wife Evelyn, Bobby Jarman and wife Geraldine, and Wilbur Jarman and wife Carolyn all of Jacksonville; and seven great grandchildren.

Carolyn Marie Raynor, age 70, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Mrs. Raynor is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Raynor of Beulaville; two sons, Greg Raynor and wife Jamie of Beulaville, and Michael Raynor and wife Nancy of Mt. Olive; sister Patricia Raynor of Beulaville; two brothers, Ronald Raynor of Beulaville, and Travis Raynor and wife Betty of Beulaville; five grandchildren, Chris, Samantha, Corey, Matthew, and Grayson; and two great grandchildren, Laycee and Carson.
