Gary Wayne Whaley, age 61, died Sunday, April 26, 2020 at home. Mr. Whaley is survived by his sister, Peggy Whaley of Jacksonville; and brothers, Billy Whaley of Potters Hill, Clifton Whaley of Potters Hill, and Phil Whaley of Chinquapin.

Gordon Levarn Sloan, age 90, died Sunday, April 26, 2020, at home. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. Mr. Sloan loved hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Minnie Lanier Sloan.
Mr. Sloan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Humphrey Sloan; daughter, Kimmie Sloan Moore of Wilmington; son, Gary Levarn Sloan of Covington, Tennessee; three Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.

Donna Boyette Shotwell, age 62, died Friday, April 24, 2020, at home. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Boyette, and daughter, Donna Marie Stallings.
Ms. Shotwell is survived by her daughter, Heather Blanton of Wallace; son, Buddy Taylor and wife Nicky of Kinston; father, Ed Boyette of Kinston; sisters, Debbie Padgett and husband Gary of Jacksonville, Libby Ipock and husband Linn of Seven Springs; brother, Eddie Boyette and wife Dee of Kinston; 9 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

William “Bill” H. Ramsey, age 92, died Saturday, April 4, 2020 in the Brian Center in Wallace, NC. Mr. Ramsey is survived by his daughter, Wanda Ramsey of Beulaville; son Anthony Ramsey of Pink Hill; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
