Freddy Elmore Jones, age 71, of Beulaville, NC, left his life on earth on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC.  He was born on September 1, 1950 in Jacksonville, NC, to the late Benjamin Franklin Jones and Betty Ann Jones.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of almost 49 years, Marcia Bryan Jones; his one and only daughter, Kristie Jones Cavanaugh and husband, Darrell of Beulaville; and sister, Frankie Ann Sutton and husband, Billy, of Hampstead.  He was loved dearly by his two grandchildren, Nicholas “Nick” Cavanaugh and Zoe Cavanaugh. Several nephews and their families, sister-in-laws, cousins and many other extended family were so important to him.

Freddy was a devoted man- devoted to his family, his church and his community.  He certainly dedicated his life to his family and wanted to make sure they were provided for.  His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he rarely missed an opportunity to boast about them.  He enjoyed watching them grow up and attending their ballgames, church activities and other life events- he was truly one of their biggest fans.

Freddy enjoyed working in his yard and loved any “projects” he could get his hands on.  With a big heart, he was always willing to also lend a helping hand to others wherever needed.

Freddy loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and is now in his presence forevermore.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Homes at 6pm, Sunday, November 14, 2021.  (Visitation from 6-7pm; service at 7)

A graveside service will be held at 11am Monday, November 15, 2021, at East Duplin Memorial Gardens.
