Faith Bostic Shaw, age 52, died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at home. Faith is helping others in death as a eye and tissue donor.

Faith is preceded in death by her father, Larry “Butch” Pigford Bostic, Jr.; mother, Betty Jean Bostic; son Brandon Matthew Buckner; grandfather, Larry Bostic; grandmother, Annie Mae Bostic; and grandmother, Mary Jane Cottle.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her husband, James Robert Shaw of Beulaville; daughter, Jennifer Buckner of Jacksonville; son Christopher Shaw of Beulaville; and granddaughter, Hannah Buckner of Jacksonville.

Donnie Mae Phillips, age 81, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at home.  She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Preston Phillips, sister Emma Adams, brother Stacy Lee Edwards, son-in-law Bill Henderson, and grandsons Charlie Phillips and Jeremy Huber.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughters, Pansy Henderson of Ashboro, Patricia Huber of Richlands; sons, Ken “Bozo” Foster and wife Michele of MD, Charles Timothy Phillips and wife Bonnie of Bolivia, Nathaniel Phillips and wife Leeanna of New Bern; brothers, Cleveland “Scooter” Edwards of Florida, Phillip “Tootsie” Edwards of Florida, Rashie Edwards of Beulaville, Whitley Edwards of Beulaville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.

Matthew Lane Hatcher, infant, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.  He is preceded in death by his grandfather Tom Hatcher and great grandfather Johnnie Ray Kennedy.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Brandon and Felisha Hatcher of Albertson; sister Hailie Hatcher of the home; brother Logan Hatcher of the home; grandparents James and Michelle Leary of Pink Hill and Ray and Kathy Robinson of Snow Hill.

Matthew’s graveside service will be held following his great grandfather Johnnie Ray Kennedy’s graveside service.

Johnnie Ray Kennedy, age 78, died Sunday, January 9, 2022 in UNC Lenoir Health Care in Kinston. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his daughter, Michelle Leary of Beulaville; son Jacob Kennedy of Hubert; sister Vera Nell Wilson of Port Orchard, WA; four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to NC State Veterans Home – Kinston Resident Counsel, 2150 Hull Rd., Kinston, NC  28504.

Mr. Kennedy’s graveside service will be held before his great grandson, Matthew Lane Hatcher’s graveside service.
