Juanita Edwards, 88, of Beulaville died June 6, 2017, at Autumn Village.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Serenity Funeral Home in Beulaville.  The family will receive friends after the service.

Survivors include brothers James Roland Edwards and wife Mary and Bronnie Avon Jones and wife Jerry Ann of Beulaville, and several nieces and nephews.

Richard Lee McDowell, age 82, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Sharon United Methodist Church located at 4061 Sharon Church Rd., Kinston.  Visitation will follow the service.                               

Mr. McDowell is survived by his wife, Elsie D. McDowell of Grifton; two daughters, Cindy Batson and husband Terry of Pine Knoll Shores, Connie M. Atherton and husband Jim of Roswell, GA, Debbie Martin and husband Jeff of Kinston; son, Jeff Merritt of Greenville; sister, Patsy Lanier and husband Worth of Beulaville; brother, Roy McDowell of Wilmington; and five grandchildren.

Garry Neil Harris, age 62, of Beulaville, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at home.  He was preceded in death by his father George Harris, mother Carol Brewer Harris Allen, and brother Timothy Harris.

Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Barbara Evans Harris of Beulaville; daughter, Danielle Harris of Wilmington; son, Ryan Harris of Raleigh; sisters, Cindy Greer and Brenda Harris both of Maryland; brothers Leroy Harris and George Harris both of Maryland.

Mr. Albertson is survived by his two daughters, Brettany A. Coltrain  and husband Edward Ivey of LaGrange and Mallory A. Jones and husband Tony Lee of Richlands; sisters, Marilyn Futrell of Beulaville, Clara Tramper of Jacksonville, Linda McClenney of Clinton, Judy Cavenaugh of Rose Hill, Faye Fisher-Weston of Jacksonville; and three grandchildren, Bella Caroline Brock, Avery Grace Brock, and Mason Lee Jones.
