Jackie Ray Norris, age 86, of Beulaville died Thursday, May 21, 2026 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Jim and Tessie Norris and his siblings, Norwood Norris, Geraldine Roberts, Allan Ward Norris, Jimmy Norris, Gene Norris, Glenn Norris, and Freddy Norris.
Mr. Norris was a dedicated worker for 33 years at DuPont and later worked for 9 years at Minchew Motors. He proudly served his country in the National Guard. Jackie had a deep passion for antique cars and trucks, spending countless hours working on motors, restoring vehicles for car shows, and tinkering in his shop. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and the Carolina Tar Heels. Jackie also enjoyed gathering with friends for meals at the Smoke House and Bojangles, where he shared laughter and fellowship. Above all, he dearly loved his family and treasured the time spent with them.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Ard and husband Todd of Pink Hill; stepdaughter, Terri Murphy and husband Grayling of Albertson, stepson, Kemp Britt of Albertson; and two grandchildren, Jimmy Ray Register and Justin Blake Register.
